Visting An Authentic 1950's Diner

Yesterday my husband and I visited Rocko's.   It is an authentic 1950's 24 hour diner in Mission, BC.  Canada.

Rocko's Diner  may look familiar to you as it had been used in several movies Killer Amongst Us, Horns, Percy Jackson and tv show Riverdale.   Rocko's can also be found in several Hallmark movies and commerials.   Recently it has been used in  the TV show Riverdale.

According to their website the diner opened in 1956 under the the name "The Hi-Lite Burger Bar" by Nick Nicholson who was a well known restaruanteur in the area.

In the early 1980's the diner was acquire by the Schiller family and in 1986 the Hi-Lite Burger Bar becaume Rocko's.

Here is my "Bacon Cheese Burger & Fries".  The portion was huge.  No room for a milkshake!

Terry's Garden Omelette.  He made a few changes.  He is a diabetic and is trying to keep his carbs low.

Rocko's Diner is like stepping back in time when life was simple.
